Hi, I’m Dan.

I’m a storyteller by nature. It’s been ingrained in me since childhood. I watched as counselors commanded attention around the campfire, saw movies that sparked endless conversations on the playground, and sat spellbound by teachers who could magically quiet a room of rowdy kids with just their voices. Throughout my childhood, I noticed one simple truth: when the story is good, people listen.

I’ve been in this industry long enough to watch storytelling platforms evolve. I’ve written for billboards, banner ads, social, websites, TV, radio, and streaming services. I’ve collaborated with UX and CX teams to ensure that your customers’ stories align with the ones you want to tell. But throughout all this change, one thing has remained constant: if the story isn’t compelling, no one’s listening.

Creative Director (2023 - Present)

Returning to Razorfish presented an incredible opportunity to lead the complete redesign of Genesis.com, and a chance for the brand to appeal to a new generation of luxury customers. As creative director, I guided a team of writers and designers through a fast-paced process, transforming concepts into a fully developed site in just six months.

At Publicis Groupe, I joined a team of top industry talent to lead digital efforts for the Mercedes-Benz account. As the digital agency of record, we handled every facet of mbusa.com, from marketing to e-commerce and dealer integration. As an ACD, I led multiple tracks of work, keeping CRUX teams on schedule and aligned with strategic goals.

Creative Lead, Copy (2018 - 2022)

At Razorfish I worked my way up from senior copywriter to creative lead, where I took an active leadership role managing several work streams. As creative lead, I led creative teams in the development of campaigns, feature updates, and product enhancements. I mentored and managed a team of three copywriters, helping guide their careers and advancement at the agency. In addition, I worked closely with clients to prioritize upcoming work and outline strategic growth opportunities for the Citibank account.

Senior Copywriter (2015 - 2018)

As the lead writer, I was responsible for campaign strategy, concepts, and executions across multiple digital touchpoints, including social, websites, influencers, videos, banner ads and CRM. I worked closely with our in-house development team to implement CMS requirements and ensure that all website builds remained ADA-compliant.

Senior Copywriter (2014 - 2015)

After several years of traditional advertising work, I decided to dive headfirst into the digital world. At Drumroll, I collaborated with our in-house developers to create ADA-compliant websites and experiences that met business objectives and increased revenue. In addition, I worked on concept-driven digital campaigns, CRM campaigns, Spotify ads, and social campaigns.

Junior Copywriter (2011 - 2013)

Arsenal is where I took a sharp left turn from the publishing industry and started my career as a copywriter. As the sole copywriter on staff, I was responsible for every word that went out the door. I worked closely with my creative director and design partner to generate campaign ideas and concepts ranging from TV spots to print ads and radio spots.

Digital Archivist (2007 - 2010)

Responsible for cataloging and digitizing the entire archive of author contracts dating back to 1924. Worked with high-level executives to create a custom digital archive that preserves the legacy of some of the world’s finest authors.
